Size

We make our gloves in hand sizes from 6 to 8½. To find your glove size, pass a tape measure around the widest part of your hand - usually over your knuckles, excluding the thumb. The result, in inches, is your glove size. If you are between two sizes, round down to the lower.

Here is how you convert from centimetres to inches:

7 7 17.8

How do I guess someone's glove size?

If you are buying gloves for someone and don't know their glove size (and don't want to ruin the surprise), their height can indicate their most likely glove size. Please note, this is statistically most likely but won't be correct 100% of the time.

Applies to women only

Index Finger Fit
This optional measurement allows us to account for your finger length, if you suspect they are unusually long or short in relation to your hand width. Please provide the length of your Index finger in inches, starting from where it meets your middle finger. This measurement is usually between 2.25 and 3.5 inches.
Do I need to provide this?
No, this is a totally optional measurement. Please only worry about it if you suspect you have unusually long or short fingers in relation to your hand. Our standard fit is excellent for 90% of people.

Standard style

All letters are the same size (8.4mm). Choose a maximum of four characters.

    Traditional style

The middle letter is larger (11.4mm) than the letters on either side (8.4mm). Choose a maximum of three characters. This is used for initials, where the last initial goes in the middle. If you choose this option, please enter your letters in the exact order you would like them to appear.

    Add Touchscreen?

We offer our Merino Wool and Cashmere gloves with an optional touchscreen friendly feature. We do this by hand embroidering little stars in silver thread into the thumb and index finger of both gloves.

With touchscreen friendly gloves, the key requirement is for conductivity that will allow the naturally occurring electric charge in your finger to pass through the glove to the screen of your device - and silver is an excellent conductor.

    How well does this work?

This is intended to work well for simple interactions with your device - making and receiving calls, playing your favourite podcast. For detailed interactions like sending a text message, you'll want to take your gloves off.

Will this work with my screen protector?
    • Please note: this does not work well with some silicone screen protectors
    • However this does work well with glass screen protectors

      Description
This is a glove for the purist; no compromises, no distractions - just pure, classic styling combined with pure cashmere. Cut a little longer to finish just above the wrist - warm, splendid on the hand and fits just like a glove should fit. Everyday dressing for those among us who love a little bit of luxury.
      Material: Pure Cashmere

Our cashmere is one of the true natural luxuries of our age. Combed from the underfleece of goats grazing at altitude in Mongolia, it travels to Scotland and the shores of Loch Leven to be spun into yarn and dyed. The purity and softness of the waters of the Loch are essential to the finish and the process is so natural that the water used can be returned to the Loch. It comes to us in the green hills of Sussex to be cut, sewn and fashioned into simply perfect gloves. For softness, colour and warmth there is no other material on earth that comes close. It is a simple, delightful fabric.

      Dimensions

Bracelet Length. This is a 4 inch glove. This is measured from where the thumb seam meets the wrist, to the opening of the glove.

      Cashmere Care

The beauty of cashmere is in its softness — not just in feel, but in temperament. It’s a fibre that settles into your skin over time, growing more supple, more comfortable, more yours with each wear. But with that softness comes sensitivity. Cashmere doesn’t demand, but it does expect patience.

Wash only when needed. Handle gently. Let it dry without rush. In return, it stays with you — light, warm, and quietly luxurious.

      Let It Soak

Hand wash in lukewarm water with the mildest soap you have. Let the gloves rest, rinse them slowly, and never wring. Once clean, press them in a towel and reshape while damp. They don’t like heat, they don’t like tension — just time.

      Care Method

Wash by hand in lukewarm water with pure soap flakes. Rinse thoroughly, press in a towel to absorb moisture, and dry flat. Reshape gently. Avoid heat, sunlight, or machines.

      If Fibres Begin to Dull

If your gloves begin to lose their softness, pill excessively, or shrink, a knitwear specialist can refresh the surface and recover shape without weakening the fibres.

      Our glovemaking

The hub of our glovemaking operation is a small, flint walled building that was built some 150 years ago to house dairy cows. All around us are pastures. A mile to the south, the green hills of the South Downs separate us from the salt seas of the English Channel.

It takes a lot to make a good pair of gloves. Great fabrics, selected with great care from mills large and small, skill and people with a passion for making things just right.

Almost everything we make is made to order. So that the person who is making your gloves knows exactly what you want in terms of glove size, style and dimensions.  They will also know your name and you will know theirs because, when they’ve finished your gloves and they’re completely happy with them, they will sign the tag to say so.
