Evening & Opera Gloves
Long evening gloves — also called opera gloves — handmade in silk, satin, tulle, leather, and velvet in Sussex, England. Made to your measurements, not standard sizing.
Opera length is the signature formal length of the Regency era: 16 inches from wrist to upper arm. Elbow length (12 inches) suits semi-formal occasions and shorter sleeves. The correct glove for black tie, white tie, galas and weddings. As seen on Phoebe Dynevor in Bridgerton.
Every glove is made to order from three measurements for a flawless fit. Optional mousquetaire opening — three buttons at the wrist — allows the hand to be removed at dinner while the sleeve remains on. Monogramming available on select styles.
Handmade in Sussex, England. Cornelia James, Glovemaker to HM Queen Elizabeth II from 1979 to 2022.
