Size

We make our gloves in hand sizes from 6 to 8½. To find your glove size, pass a tape measure around the widest part of your hand - usually over your knuckles, excluding the thumb. The result, in inches, is your glove size. If you are between two sizes, round down to the lower.

Here is how you convert from centimetres to inches:

How do I guess someone's glove size?

If you are buying gloves for someone and don't know their glove size (and don't want to ruin the surprise), their height can indicate their most likely glove size. Please note, this is statistically most likely but won't be correct 100% of the time.

Applies to women only

Index Finger Fit
This optional measurement allows us to account for your finger length, if you suspect they are unusually long or short in relation to your hand width. Please provide the length of your Index finger in inches, starting from where it meets your middle finger. This measurement is usually between 2.25 and 3.5 inches.
Do I need to provide this?
No, this is a totally optional measurement. Please only worry about it if you suspect you have unusually long or short fingers in relation to your hand. Our standard fit is excellent for 90% of people.

    Description
Georgia - sweet Georgia! A pure Swiss cotton jersey glove with our signature side bow; an elegant statement of timeless style. The Swiss cotton is liightweight and has an extremely soft 'handle'. A perfect glove for every summer day and every summer occasion.
    Material: Pure Supima Cotton

Our Supima Cotton is grown in the San Joaquin Valley of California and knitted into pure Cotton Jersey in Fehraltorf, Switzerland. Lightweight and comfortable, it has remained the simple day glove material of choice for good reason. The cotton is rated UPF 50, offering the highest level of protection against the sun's ultraviolet rays.

    Dimensions

Wrist Length. 2 inch glove. This is measured from where the thumb seam meets the wrist, to the opening of the glove.

    Swiss Cotton Care

Swiss cotton is tailored restraint — crisp, breathable, and beautifully structured. It’s not delicate, but it is precise. A glove made from Swiss cotton holds its shape naturally, so long as you don’t crowd it or rush the wash.

Think of it as a lightweight classic that thrives with quiet discipline.

    Let It Flow

Let it breathe. Place your gloves inside a mesh bag and wash with a small load. Avoid wringing or spinning too hard. Once clean, lay them flat, and take a moment to adjust the edges and trims before they dry.

    Care Method

Machine wash cold in a mesh delicates bag on a gentle cycle. Dry flat. Reshape as needed. Avoid tumble drying and excessive friction.

    For Precise Structure and Finish

For gloves with embroidery, scalloped edges or shape retention issues, a specialist in cotton tailoring can restore sharpness without compromising structure.

    Our glovemaking

The hub of our glovemaking operation is a small, flint walled building that was built some 150 years ago to house dairy cows. All around us are pastures. A mile to the south, the green hills of the South Downs separate us from the salt seas of the English Channel.

It takes a lot to make a good pair of gloves. Great fabrics, selected with great care from mills large and small, skill and people with a passion for making things just right.

Almost everything we make is made to order. So that the person who is making your gloves knows exactly what you want in terms of glove size, style and dimensions.  They will also know your name and you will know theirs because, when they’ve finished your gloves and they’re completely happy with them, they will sign the tag to say so.

    Our Cotton

    Swiss Cotton

Our Supima Cotton is grown in the San Joaquin Valley of California and knitted into pure Cotton Jersey in Fehraltorf, Switzerland. Lightweight and comfortable, it has remained the everyday glove material of choice for good reason.

    Sueded Cotton

Our sueded, Supima Cotton is grown in the San Joaquin Valley of California, knitted into cotton jersey in Derbyshire, England, then expertly brushed to provide that lovely, sueded feeling. Our cotton is also rated 50+ for ultraviolet protection.

    Ultraviolet

The cotton for these gloves is Ultraviolet Protection Factor 50+, the highest level of protection against the effects of the Sun's UV rays. Our cotton is effective at blocking both UVA and UVB.

About 5 percent of UV rays are UVB. They have higher energy levels than UVA rays, and typically damage the outermost layers of your skin, causing sunburn. These rays directly damage DNA and are the cause of most skin cancers. The other 95 percent are UVA rays - these can pass through glass (such as a car windshield) and penetrate your skin more deeply, causing your skin cells to age.

Our cotton blocks both UVA and UVB to the highest measured standard (UPF50+), making these gloves effective at providing all round protection against the sun.
