How to size your gloves
All our gloves are made with a glove size from 6 to 8½, and for our longer gloves we include an arm fit to ensure the correct sizing
To ascertain your glove size:
- Pass a tape measure around the widest part of your hand - usually over your knuckles, excluding the thumb.
- The result, in inches, is your glove size - e.g. if your hand measures 7 inches, you are a glove size 7.
- If you are between two sizes, round down to the lower of the two.
Of course, there are times when you might not know the glove size, perhaps if you are buying our gloves as a gift. In that case, we would recommend a size 7, because this is the average size, and is likely to fit most people. Of course, if your glove doesn't fit perfectly, we are more than happy to exchange it - just contact us, and we will do our best to help. Special size requirements are always available on request.
Our gloves also come in a variety of lengths. To ensure you get the correct length for both your occasion and your look, it is worth checking when choosing your glove. Our gloves are measured in the traditional unit of measurement of button length (BL), which is equal to 1", and runs from the thumb seam (i.e. just below the wrist) up the arm. Our glove lengths are as follows:
Cornelia, 1.5 BL (1.5")
Our shortest gloves, the wrist length glove adds the finishing touch to your outfit, measuring 1.5 BL (1.5").
Genevieve, 3.5 BL (3.5")
Gauntlet length gloves measure at 3.5 BL (3.5") and are a popular choice for a day glove.
Francesca, 8 BL (8")
Regina, 5 BL (5")
A bracelet length glove can measure between 5 BL (5") and 8 BL (8") and is the perfect day glove.
Henrietta, 12 BL (12")
Our twelve-inch length gloves also sit above the elbow and are perfect for evening occasions.
Desdemona, 16 BL (16")
Our opera length gloves measure 16 BL (16") and sit above the elbow. They are perfect for opera and evening occasions.
If you are unsure about which glove length you might want or have any other queries, contact us and we will be more than happy to help.
