Silk Gloves

Silk is for the big occasion. In the atelier, when we take down a roll of silk to make a pair of gloves there is an air of expectation. The first cut of the scissors on silk has an entirely distinctive sound and something special is in the offing. Silk speaks quietly but delivers a thumping message.
