We offer our Merino Wool and Cashmere gloves with an optional touchscreen friendly feature. We do this by hand embroidering little stars in silver thread into the thumb and index finger of both gloves.

With touchscreen friendly gloves, the key requirement is for conductivity that will allow the naturally occurring electric charge in your finger to pass through the glove to the screen of your device - and silver is an excellent conductor.

How well does this work?

This is intended to work well for simple interactions with your device - making and receiving calls, playing your favourite podcast. For detailed interactions like sending a text message, you'll want to take your gloves off.

Will this work with my screen protector?

• Please note: this does not work well with some silicone screen protectors
• However this does work well with glass screen protectors

Whether it’s for a special occasion or a unique gift, our monogramming service is the perfect, thoughtful addition to your gloves — add up to eight letters to personalise your gloves with elegant embroidery.

• We offer two styles of monogram: standard and traditional.
• Please always type your monogram in the exact order you would like your letters.
• The monogram is placed on the underside of the left wrist.
• The font we use is Goudy Bold.
• The colour of the thread is in a choice of four colours (gold, silver, blue, and red).
• The charge for monogramming is £35.
• We are normally unable to accept returns of monogrammed gloves.

Monogram Styles

• Standard Initials
  • All letters are the same size (8.4mm). Choose a maximum of four characters.
• Traditional Initials
  • The middle letter is larger (11.4mm) than the letters on either side (8.4mm). Choose a maximum of three characters. This is used for initials, where the last initial goes in the middle. If you choose this option, please enter your letters in the exact order you would like them to appear.
• New Symbols
  • We offer two new symbols: a solid heart or a solid cupid heart. For symbols with initials, the symbol will appear between your two characters (e.g., C♥J).
• Enter a Special Date
  • To record a special date–such as a wedding, birthday, or milestone. Follow this format: dd.mm.yy example July 12, 2026, would be entered as 12.7.26 (no leading zero). 
• Pick Your Phrase
  • Add a personalized phrase or nickname of up to 8 characters. (Previously limited to 3 characters for initials.) All letters are the same size (8.4mm).

Positioning

On short gloves (up to 8 inches), we position the monogram on the underside of the left wrist — just the left hand glove.

On gloves which are 12 inches and longer, we position the monogram on the inside of the upper arm — again, on the left glove.

The hub of our glovemaking operation is a small, flint walled building that was built some 150 years ago to house dairy cows. All around us are pastures. A mile to the south, the green hills of the South Downs separate us from the salt seas of the English Channel.

It takes a lot to make a good pair of gloves. Great fabrics, selected with great care from mills large and small, skill and people with a passion for making things just right.

Almost everything we make is made to order. So that the person who is making your gloves knows exactly what you want in terms of glove size, style and dimensions.  They will also know your name and you will know theirs because, when they’ve finished your gloves and they’re completely happy with them, they will sign the tag to say so.
