      Index Finger Fit

This optional measurement allows us to account for your finger length, if you suspect they are unusually long or short in relation to your hand width. Please provide the length of your Index finger in inches, starting from where it meets your middle finger. This measurement is usually between 2.25 and 3.5 inches.

      Forearm & upper arm fit

For our elbow length gloves, we take a measurement for your forearm fit. To take your forearm fit measurement, hold your arm outstretched and pass a tape measure around your forearm at the broadest point. The resulting measurement, in inches, is your forearm fit.

For our Opera length gloves, we also take a measurement for upper arm fit as well as forearm fit. To take your upper arm fit measurement, hold your arm outstretched and pass a tape measure around your bicep at the mid point - the resulting measurement, in inches, is your upper arm fit.

To convert centimetres to inches, divide by 2.54 - e.g. 20 centimetres = 7.9 inches

      Touchscreen

We offer our Merino Wool and Cashmere gloves with an optional touchscreen friendly feature. We do this by hand embroidering little stars in silver thread into the thumb and index finger of both gloves.

With touchscreen friendly gloves, the key requirement is for conductivity that will allow the naturally occurring electric charge in your finger to pass through the glove to the screen of your device - and silver is an excellent conductor.

      How well does this work?

This is intended to work well for simple interactions with your device - making and receiving calls, playing your favourite podcast. For detailed interactions like sending a text message, you'll want to take your gloves off.

Will this work with my screen protector?
      • Please note: this does not work well with some silicone screen protectors
      • However this does work well with glass screen protectors

A merino wool glove with a rich faux fur cuff to match. Designed to segue perfectly with the sleeve of your coat to keep the winter chill at bay. No more awkward draughts.

          Made From
Our pure wool gloves are cut from a super fine jersey Merino wool. We make them in exactly the same way that we make all our gloves - 2 metres of painstaking stitching that joins tranks, fourchettes and thumbs. The end product is a pair of gloves that is beautifully styled, built to last and warm. The perfect Autumn/Winter glove.

          Dimensions
4 BL (button length). This is the length of the glove, in inches, from where the thumb seam meets the wrist to the hem at the top of the glove.

          Care guide

With care, you can gently hand wash these gloves in warm water with pure soap flakes. Gently wash and rinse through repeatedly and avoid any scrubbing. Our glovemaking

The hub of our glovemaking operation is a small, flint walled building that was built some 150 years ago to house dairy cows. All around us are pastures. A mile to the south, the green hills of the South Downs separate us from the salt seas of the English Channel.

It takes a lot to make a good pair of gloves. Great fabrics, selected with great care from mills large and small, skill and people with a passion for making things just right.

Almost everything we make is made to order. So that the person who is making your gloves knows exactly what you want in terms of glove size, style and dimensions.  They will also know your name and you will know theirs because, when they’ve finished your gloves and they’re completely happy with them, they will sign the tag to say so.

          Our

          Presentation box

Our box, like our gloves, is built to last. For us, it's about the product, not the packaging, but when we designed our box we made sure it was beautiful and timeless.
